LA Health Solutions is proud to announce the latest addition to our esteemed medical team, Dr. Jonathan Kahn Jones, MD, a highly accomplished neurologist bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to our practice.
Education and Academic Achievements:
Dr. Jones’ journey in medicine and law is nothing short of impressive. He graduated from Tulane School of Medicine in 2013, earning his Medical Doctor degree as a Tulane Rural Scholarship recipient. His academic prowess is further highlighted by his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University School of Law (2005), where he also garnered the Provosty Firm Scholarship.
His legal accolades include winning the ABA Mediation Southeastern Regional Moot Court in 2003, participating in prestigious competitions like the Ruby Vale National Corporate Appellate Law Competition, and being actively involved in the Legislative Clinic.
Not stopping at law and medicine, Dr. Jones also holds a Master of Business Administration with a Finance Concentration from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. His roles as a Financial Analyst for Burkenroad Reports and an Associate in the Burkenroad Latin America Program demonstrate his diverse skill set.
Extensive Medical Training and Employment History:
Dr. Jones completed a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at LSUHSC New Orleans, where he also served as a Neurology Resident, gaining experience in neurointensive care, EEG, EMG, and clinical neurology. Before joining LA Health Solutions, he was a Staff Neurologist at Our Lady of Lourdes and Lourdes Physician Group.
His unique blend of medical and legal expertise is further exemplified by his tenure as an Attorney at Van Norman Law Firm, where he handled a range of cases from healthcare to intellectual property.
Multilingual and Multicultural Experience:
Dr. Jones’ proficiency in Spanish, gained through training in Honduras and Spain, underscores his ability to connect with a diverse patient population.
