About Dr. Marco Rodriguez, MD
Raised with strong Christian family values in Lorain, Ohio, Dr. Rodriguez aspired to help others by answering his call to medicine. He pursued his undergraduate degree at The University of Notre Dame. He was then accepted at the prestigious Case Western Reserve University of Medicine, to pursue his passion for medicine and graduated in 2003.
During his 5 years of orthopedic residency training at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans, LA, Dr. Rodriguez gained an exceptional understanding and appreciation for the spine, its conditions and how it was treated. He pursued his training by accepting a fellowship at Texas Back Institute. Texas Back Institute is a leader in artificial disc replacement and was the first practice in America to implant an artificial disc replacement. Dr. Rodriguez co-authored an article on cervical artificial disc replacement while refining his surgical skills over that year.
During his fellowship at Texas Back Institute, he learned how to utilize a multi-specialty approach to treating the spine. He worked closely with therapists, interventional pain specialists, chiropractors and 11 spine surgeons. He took the best practices from all his mentors, in each specialty, to formulate his own unique approach to spine care and development of the International Spine Institute.
Dr. Rodriguez is devoted to patient centered care and often prays with his patients before surgery as a testimony of his oath to medicine and his faith in his God-given talent. When he is not practicing medicine he is likely spending quality time raising his 4 young children, with his loving wife Kristina.
